Mission
Podcasts for Peace facilitates creative and intellectual expression through digital media to empower youth leaders and promote social justice through collaborative community engagement. Vision Podcasts for Peace is a vehicle for the youth of Acahualinca to share the stories and experiences of their communities through audio-visual technology. It strives to amplify the voices of people who have been marginalized or silenced by powerful economic and social forces that divide the world into pockets of profit and poverty. At heart, the project is a collaboration among youth, community members, and educators working toward a more equitable and peaceful world in which personal aspirations play more of a role in determining one’s future than the context in which one is born. |
