Fundraising and Youth Savings Program
Youth come to Podcasts to learn various artisanship skills. The most popular is bracelet making. Many begin with no knowledge of the craft, then learn more and more challenging patterns, and end up inventing their own complex styles!
When we sell a bracelet, two thirds of the proceeds go to program expenses. The rest goes to the participant who made the bracelet. Each participant keeps their money in a piggy bank and saves up for an item of their choice, such as... • A bicycle • Dinner out with the family • New clothes • School supplies • A new cell phone
